The wonderfully chaotic, passionate humans behind OpenSpace Waterlooville.

Director & Founder
Luke's Story
How do children really learn best? I've spent over twenty years exploring that question.
With a career spanning two decades as a teacher, tutor, and mentor, I've dedicated my life to helping people rediscover their confidence and curiosity. From early years classrooms in Oxford to one-to-one mentoring for university prep, I've seen learning in all its forms — and I never stop being fascinated by it.

Director & Co-Founder
Harriet's Story
Waterlooville isn't just where I am working to build OpenSpace — it is my hometown. I grew up right here, and I am incredibly proud to now be raising my own four energetic boys in the same community.

Director & Co-Founder
Tomos' Story
After reading Modern Languages at Durham, I completed a Master's at St Peter's College, Oxford, followed by a Law degree earned with Distinction.
My academic path has been shaped by a love for language and a belief that the way we communicate an idea is just as important as the idea itself. That precision matters.
We are legally required to acknowledge that OpenSpace would not exist without the daily inspiration (and chaos) provided by our four boys. They didn't ask to be co-founders. They don't know they are co-founders. But here we are. 🤷♀️

Chief Curiosity & Mud Officer
Noah is the ultimate big brother and our resident social butterfly. Fueled by boundless confidence and approximately 15,000 questions a day, he is the driving force behind our Research & Development department. When he isn't making new friends in record time, you can usually find him hitting boundaries on the cricket pitch or achieving masterpiece levels of muddiness.

Chief Bouncing & Pokémon Officer
Bruce brings the big emotions, the best dance moves, and an encyclopedic knowledge of Pokémon to the executive team. Why walk to a board meeting when you can jump? As our resident dancer, Bruce is entirely in charge of company morale, keeping the energy high and the vibes immaculate.

Chief Demolition Officer
Dougie takes his role as CDO very seriously. If you need a room dismantled in record-breaking time, Dougie is your guy. Equipped with the face of an absolute angel, he is dangerously funny — it is physically impossible to stay mad at him for more than 10 seconds, even if water is miraculously pouring through the ceiling.

Chief Marmalade & Wobble Officer
As the baby of the family, Wilf navigates the world with an adorable, unbalanced wobble and rigorously tests our Health & Safety protocols by being extremely accident-prone. As the team's ultimate Paddington Bear fan, he keeps the rest of the board grounded and reminds us to always pack extra marmalade sandwiches.
⚠️ Disclaimer: The boys have not been consulted on their job titles and accept no responsibility for any decisions made by management. Noah has 15,000 follow-up questions. Bruce would like it noted that Charizard is, objectively, the best. Dougie has already disassembled this disclaimer. Wilf is just happy to be here. 🐻
Meet the team in person — book a session and come see how we make learning something children actually look forward to.
