What you'll need

A few important requirements for sitting an exam by remote invigilation from home. Remote Invigilation costs £486 per subject (inc VAT) for International GCSEs, or £243 per unit (inc VAT) for International AS/A Levels, in addition to the exam entry fee shown in your quote.

  • A laptop with a webcam and screen-sharing facility, plus a separate device set up to record the exam.
  • A good-quality printer (paper-based exams need an answer booklet printed ahead of the exam).
  • A reliable internet connection throughout every exam.
  • For paper-based exams, the finished scripts must be scanned and uploaded to Pearson after the exam.
  • Valid, in-date ID verified during signup — a passport, full or provisional driving licence, UK Citizenship card, or National ID. Expired documents cannot be accepted.
  • A parent or guardian must be present to supervise the exam at all times.
  • We strongly encourage taking part in the familiarisation sessions to understand the remote invigilation process before exam day.
  • All speaking tests, familiarisation sessions, live invigilation windows and final exams are managed and invigilated by Pearson. Entries are submitted on your behalf through our partner exam centre.

Access Arrangements

We can accommodate the following for remotely invigilated exams:

  • Rest breaks
  • Personalised requirements (e.g. white noise machines, noise suppression buds, ear defenders, fidget toys)
Unfortunately a Reader or Scribe is not available for remotely invigilated exams.
